1.Can I get a late check out?
It will depend on the schedule. Please call or contact Wilson or Alice to see if it will be possible prior to your
arrival. Normal check out time is 11 AM.

2. How far away is the beach?
The closest beach is Anaeho’o malu Bay also known to locals as “A” Bay. This is within walking distance of
about ¾ of a mile over the King’s Trail, which is a lava path that runs right next to the house. However if you
were going to carry anything like a board or cooler I would recommend that you drive. There is public access to
all beaches in the state since all shoreline is public although some owners of beach houses will try to tell you
otherwise. “A” Bay parking is right next to the Kolea development directly across from the King’s Shops. There
is adequate parking usually. The beach is nice but there are far nicer ones a few miles up north.  Try going to
Hapuna Beach, which was rated by Conde Nast as the best beach in the US. I like the beach at Mauna Kea
Resort just a little further up from Hapuna. The beach is like a post card at Mauna Kea. Look at the Big Island
Revealed book for directions and more info. You can also check on the computer at the house. I have booked
mark some links on the Internet that may be useful.

3. Do you have beach towels and beach equipment?
Beach towels are available for your use. They are the colorful ones and are located in the upstairs laundry
room.  In the garage there is two boogie boards, beach mats, inflatable rings, beach chair, umbrellas, and
snorkeling gear. Feel free to use them at your own risk. We have a collapsible cooler in the cabinet to the left of
the refrigerator.

4. Is there laundry detergent?
There is may be enough for your stay but you may need to supply your own.  What we recommend is during
your supply run you should purchase whatever you will need for your stay. Wal-Mart and Costco is the place we
go for our supplies. We usually make the run just after we leave the airport since the stores are very close to
the airport.

5. Where is the closest place to pick up supplies?
The Island Gourmet Market at the Queens Shops has a limited inventory for groceries . However it is with in
walking distance.  A 10 minute drive north up the highway ,there is a slightly larger market at the Foodland
Farms at the Shops at Mauna Lani. The next closest supermarket is in the town of Waikoloa Village.  Waikoloa
Village is about 7 miles or a 15 minute drive north east of the resort. Please refer to maps for exact directions.
What we do is we make a Costco and Wal-Mart run when we leave the airport on arrival. This saves a lot of
time as the resort is approximately 20 minutes north of the airport and the Costco and Wal-Mart is just south of
the airport. When you get out of the airport make a right turn on the Highway. 2 lights down you will make a left
on Hina Lina Street. Go up two blocks and make a right. You will pass a Home depot and at the end you will see
the Costco. The Wal-Mart is further down the highway near downtown Kailua. Continue down the highway for
few miles look out for the Borders Books and make a left. The Wal-Mart is on the left. There is also a Safeway’s
right next door.

your shoes off while inside a home. Accidents happen. There is carpet spot remover available under the

maid service it is sometime available for a additional charge depending on the season, please inquire prior to
checking in.

11. What supplies should we buy or bring?
Depends on what your personal needs are. Most people will make a Costco and Wal-Mart run. We usually get

stop by the Costco as we leave the airport since the Costco is just a mile away.

21. Where can I park the car?
Due to  the narrow size of the garage we no longer let tenants park inside the garage.. You can  park in any of
the convenient outdoor parking slots that are not marked reserved. You will need a parking pass displayed on
your windshield which will be issued to you prior to your arrival.

22. Where is the air conditioning control?

Depart Kona International Airport. At the stoplight, turn left (North) onto Queen Kaahumanu Hwy, (Hwy. #19)
and drive for 17 miles. Make a left on Waikoloa Beach Drive. The Waikoloa Colony Villas condominiums are
located on Waikoloa Beach Dr.  Upon entering the Resort, take the 1st right at the Waikoloa Colony Villas sign
and continue driving for approximately 3/4 of a mile.  At the next stop sign, turn left.  The Waikoloa Colony Villas
entrance gate will be on your immediate right.
